Needed: another word for "news" that is not true

I was listening to NPR this morning and they used several phrases that the buffoon often uses. The one that jars me, that he initiated and promotes all the time, is "fake news." He owns this. We must find a new word/phrase for disinformation that is presented as news. We need a word/phrase that the general public and news and can use without reinforcing his ranting.

I would agree. But considering the vulgarity squatting in the White House, I believe using bullshit is quite appropriate.

the sort of misinformation put forth by Trump, et al. In general, bullshit is something that is said when the speaker doesn't know what he's talking about or care about the truth of his statements. "Bullshit is unavoidable whenever circumstances require someone to talk without knowing what he is talking about. Thus the production of bullshit is stimulated whenever a person's obligations or opportunities to speak about some topic exceed his knowledge of the facts that are relevant to that topic." Here's the essay that the author, Harry G. Frankfort, later turned onto a book. http://www2.csudh.edu/ccauthen/576f12/frankfurt__harry_-_on_bullshit.pdf He was prescient, I think.

Heard that in a speech from the '30s by Smedley Butler, and thought it was a "cleaner" version that plopped down like its namesake.

Of course, a currant variant might be "load of horseTrump"

It irks me to no end that the media constantly claim that Trump and Russiapublicans "believe" something that is clearly not believable by any sentient being. What they are doing is "pretending."

but I don't think doll-hands created the term. He appropriated it. From us. Who used it to describe republican lies and deliberately false information they liked to spread around.

Because he loves very few things more than dating his daughter and accusing the left of doing the things he is actually doing.
