According to Mrs Gibraltar Gretchen just pissed off a whole bunch of people.

She says that Motorcycle riding is not essential. Bicycles are OK cause that's exercise. I rode motorcycles for 54 years until I knew it wasn't wise anymore. Other than long days in the saddle there really isn't much physical action on a bike so I agree with her. Let's get people to do what's necessary and get through this ASA reasonably P.

I've lived here my whole life. Recreational biking is what we're talking about here. I do accept the observation however. But I just don't think it's applicable here.

I'm not going to ride during this crisis, though. While I wouldn't expect anything to happen,
it's always a possibility, and I don't want to be "that guy" who has to be an extra burden on
an already overburdened medical system. So, the Guzzi sits in the garage on the battery
tender, ready to go once this passes.

Guzzi riders are considered a bit weird. Quota riders are a weird subset of all Guzzi riders.
Bullet proof engines. Cylinders hanging out there and easy to maintain. I can set the valves
on both cylinders in a half hour, and that's with having a beer between sides.

It's been sitting for a while; I really need to finish making some room in the garage to be able to get it in to work on.

Lots of people in the PNW riding right now - including several large group rides that they're planning every day on Facebook (looks like mostly the sport bike crowd).

Yeah, sure, they're 'social distancing'...until they make a gas stop and everyone uses the same 3 or 4 pumps without thinking about who may have handled it earlier or what they may have left on the pump handle.

It seems like there just might be a specific reason that it's called a "Stay Home" order, and not a "take off from work for a month and just get together to ride" order.

It was a bunch of years ago at Steak's house, when I was up visiting my son who then was living in the ID. When I rang the doorbell, you opened the door and shouted "I don't know who this guy is, but he's got beer!" Mario gave me a ride back to my son's place.

Hope you're doing well. Stay safe.

find some breathing room up in the canyons. Took the Ducati out for the first ride of the season yesterday. That bike sure has a lovely growl to it.
