During the lockdown a grabbed a few books from the library. Right now reading Finest Hour, about 1200 pages about Churchill in the early war years. He could be abrasive and egotistical but he was the leader they needed for the times. Trump knows nothing about leadership, ole Winnie would be rolling in his grave to hear trump thing that way. As many have mentioned he’s much closer to Il Duce that anyone else.

By the way at the bottom of the linked article there was an advertisement for what I thought was a new sci-fi movie or something. It was an advertisement for Space Force. On one hand I can’t believe the military is buying into that farce, but knowing how they operate I’m sure some of the generals just see it as a way to line up at the trough and buy some new high tech toys. Their most important rule is to spend every dime they can get and they actually budget for over 100% expenditures to make sure they don’t end up having to give any money back at the end of the year.

About trying to censor him from the news. For me its the voice that is impossible to cope with. I can manage a few images popping up, but I have to turn the sound off to avoid the voice.

I'm in the UK and love listening to classical music on radio 3, a station with no adverts. But, and it's a big but, they have regular news bulletins and for a while the announcer started with 'Donald Trump ....blah blah' I mean in the middle of a frigging concert they have to give me that reminder!

I had to pack in the station, couldn't even stand hearing the name.
