Angry that President Obama got almost no help to rescue economy while spigot overflows for Trump.

All of President's Obama's rescue initiatives were at first filibustered and then barely passed after Specter, Collins, and Snowe watered them down enough to keep the country from total collapse while, at the same time, hoping it was enough to deny him re-election. That game very nearly succeeded and if it weren't for Sandy, who knows how 2012 would have turned out.

It makes me angry that Trump Toad has had daily measures tossed at him to save the economy, that the spigots are overflowing, and that his economic packages are meeting nowhere close to the level of the resistance that President Obama's did.

Where's Santelli circa 2009 on CNBC ranting about socialist bailouts now in 2020?

That fact disgusts me and enrages me.

If President Obama had received the help Toad Trump has, the tea party wouldn't have arisen, and we very well may have had at least 8 years (probably going on 12 now) of unified federal government Democratic control.

NOTE: This post is in no way a comment on the validity or lack thereof of the taps being turned on and overflowing for Trump by the Fed, etc., i.e., the actual measures themselves.

of the "outstanding" leadership of Moscow Mitch McTurtle! Remember, from Day 1 his objective was to make PRESIDENT OBAMA a 1-term president. Any program or bill that would be counted as a success by PRESIDENT OBAMA was fought tooth and shell by McTurtle.
They even insisted that ANY program that would be passed had to be paid for by the same amount of cuts in social services - in other words, every bill had to "be paid for" before passage.
Funny, this time we haven't heard about any such problem for the RepubliCon Senate or IQ45. Isn't that curious?

Most people toss the words million, billion, and trillion around without really understanding the scope of the difference.

I did a little research.

Turns out that a Federal Reserve Note of any denomination weighs one gram, so there are 454 bills per pound.

You can put $2 billion in $100 bills in a semi trailer and still be within federal weight regulations for use on the highway.

Therefore, $1 trillion is 500 semi trucks full of money.

The current level is up around 10 percent from a year ago. It is up 20 percent since inauguration day 2017.

Other points of reference:

Inauguration Day 2013: 16.4 trillion (56% higher than inauguration day 2009).
Inauguration Day 2017: 20 trillion (22% higher than inauguration day 2013).

4. Democrats condemn GOP's plot to obstruct Obama as 'appalling and sad'

They planned it
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/apr/26/democrats-gop-plot-obstruct-obama
<snip>
Democrats have rounded on revelations about a private dinner of House Republicans on inauguration day in 2009 in which they plotted a campaign of obstruction against newly installed president Barack Obama.

During a lengthy discussion, the senior GOP members worked out a plan to repeatedly block Obama over the coming four years to try to ensure he would not be re-elected.

The disclosures – described as "appalling and sad" by Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod – undermine Republican claims that the president alone is to blame for the partisan deadlock in Washington.

A detailed account of who was present at the dinner on that January 20 night and the plan they worked out to bring down Obama is provided by Robert Draper in 'Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the US House of Representatives', published this week.

Republicans never compromise because they don’t care about the good of the country. They care about lining their own pockets and doing whatever their wealthy benefactors tell them so they can keep their power to screw the little people. My succinct description of what makes the two parties different is that one party works to protect our basic rights, the other party works to take away our basic rights.

When republicans look at a crisis, they see an opportunity to gain an advantage. When democrats look at a crisis, they see the human beings that crisis is crushing and they move to stop the suffering. Two totally different mindsets. Honestly, I prefer the democratic response, even when that makes the future road tougher.

15. THE BIG PAYOFF
Sun Apr 12, 2020, 02:27 AM
Apr 2020

For some reason the gov is sending trillions of $$$ of checks to the american people. I'm getting (or when I get it, or if I get it) a $2400 check. But guess what I've already spent that money and most americans have too!! This is nothing but a big payoff diversion to keep us misdirected so they can steal a huge amount of money from the government while running up the national debt by trillions. Whose watching the money, who is keeping track of what. All they needed to do was to fund companies to keep enough food and supplies (medial, etc) so that we don't have resource shortages (like toilet paper). Then, increase and extend unemployment benefits by funding the states. Why does it seem like they're just making it "rain" all over the place with money we are not even supposed to have in the first place!! Before this all happened trump was talking about cutting social sec and medicare and other resources to bring down the debt. This little check is not going to help me. When all of this is over, I'm going to need a whole lot more than $2400!! We all are. When all of this mess is over, no matter who the president is, WE ARE GOING TO SUFFER HUGE CUTS IN SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE AND OTHER PEOPLE PROGRAMS TO PAY DOWN THE DEBT. The real question is how much is trump (whom we know is a crook and a tax cheat) and his administration stealing from the american taxpayers!! How much of it is going to fulfill his 2016 campaign promises (the wall, etc). Trump was in debt when he became president, I'll bet he's in the black now!

We are going to inflate.

The Federal Reserve is going to buy US Treasuries, high grade corporate bonds, junk bonds, equities and even kitchen sinks to make sure there is no deflation.

They are simply following the path of the Bank of Japan.

We will pay for all of this through the hidden tax...inflation.

he wasn't going to put it out there in such a way that the GOP grifters could steal it. And that's exactly what Trump is doing. There will never be an accounting of where trillions of dollars went, but you can bet about 90% of it didn't make it to any Democrats.
