it's as if donnie said "send in captain america" and they all said "ok you heard him let's *do it*!"
reporter: mr. president, a virus is attacking the entire planet, what do we do!
donnie: we'll send in our best! we're gonna send in... captain america!
reporter: uh, mr. president, how is he going to defeat a virus?
donnie: he's strong. he's very strong. it's tremendous how strong he is.
reporter: yes, but, uh, the virus is microscopic and invisible.
donnie: captain america can do invisible! he's very good with the invisible!
reporter: also, he's a fictional character. he's not real.
donnie: he's very real! i just saw a movie and it was incredible! it made a lot of money! very real money!
reporter: but, uh,...
republicans: you heard the president! we're sending in captain america! no more questions!
america: ok, i guess we'll go with that.
-------
we've basically got a system set up where america desperately needs a leader in the oval office and we've got a clown in there and *everybody knows he's a clown*, yet the system is set up so that we all just look at each other and go, ok, i guess we're gonna just do what the clown says.
here, let's give the clown two trillion dollars, maybe that will help.
