Trump himself voted by mail just last month.
Donald Trump and his Republican allies have been on a crusade against voting by mail a method gaining steam as the COVID-19 pandemic makes in-person voting unsafe.
Trump falsely said in an April 7 briefing that absentee voting is a "dangerous thing for this country," adding that people who vote-by-mail are "cheaters" and that mail-in ballots are "fraudulent."
It's a line of attack that GOP lawmakers are now adopting, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).
However, Trump himself has cast multiple absentee ballots in his life. At least 10 other members of Trump's family and inner circle have also voted by mail at least once.
Here are the members of that inner circle who have cast what Trump described as "fraudulent" votes:

(11,726 posts)That is proven. Trump said that vote by mail is cheating to simply try to frame the discussion. He does it all the time. He lies about everything because it puts his opponents on defense. We will now debunk the lies, which is easily done but it doesn't matter to Trump. He attacks the very notions of fact, truth, and evidence. He does it because he wants to have the debate merely as a matter of one side versus the other side.
It has traditionally been that the side with the evidence on its side wins the argument. Trump is trying to, and to some extent, has accomplished the feat of making arguments about who has the loudest voice and the most power. The GOP has abetted him with this because they are afraid of losing power. They have lied so much that they have no real credibility so they have to follow Trump's lead and attack truth and evidence as well.
Trump's argument makes absolutely no sense at all. He said voting by mail is cheating, yet he voted by mail. Did he cheat? He will say, "absolutely not, my vote by mail is perfect". Easy enough to trap him by countering, "SO if you did not cheat in voting by mail, then you cannot accuse others of cheating because vote by mail is vote by mail. Either you cheated like you claim others do, or no body cheats through VBM." Easy enough if you are dealing with a standard argument.
Problem is that Trump doesn't care about logic, truth, evidence, facts, or whatever you want to call it. He is a fascist authoritarian. To him the only thing that matters is whether he will win.
