Glory, hallelujah! Another soul saved!

My sister-in-law is a hair stylist and she has had a client "Jane", a woman in her late 70s who has been a Trumper. Jane has a standing weekly appointment and, as a rule SIL has only told her that they best not discuss politics. Not too long ago SIL finally told Jane she needed to turn off Fox & watch CNN (she thought MSNBC might be to much to ask for).

Well, at Jane's last appointment, right before our shut down she showed up a changed woman. She did start listening to CNN & totally abandoned Fox. Can't believe how blind she's been & really had doubts about how Trump was handing this "virus thing". She "never thought she'd say this" but she's voting for Biden.

In fact her last appointment was before Gov. Walz announced the shut down. It was at that last appointment that she told my SIL that she had finally taken SIL's advice and listened to something besides Fox & that had made her realize she'd been suckered all these years.

it absolutely disgusts me that it takes thousands of deaths for some people to "come around"

do you REALLY think a Trumper watched CNN and magically "came around"?

and she's the one who knows the woman. It may be that SIL has been working on her more than she let on.

As far as what took for her to come around - at least she woke up before next November.

done that we are so enraged by. Remember the woman who didn't know the Mueller report didn't completely exonerate Trump, because she only consumed right-wing news sources?

https://www.politicususa.com/2019/05/30/fox-watching-republican-shocked-to-learn-that-mueller-didnt-exonerate-trump.html

Fox Watching Republican Shocked To Learn That Mueller Didn’t Exonerate Trump

A woman at Rep. Justin Amash’s recent town hall was confused because she votes Republican, listens to conservative news, and she had never heard anything about the Mueller report not exonerating Trump.

NBC News reported:

Cathy Garnaat, a Republican who supported Amash and the president said she was upset about Amash’s position but wanted to hear his reasoning. She said that she will definitely support Trump in 2020 but that Tuesday night was the first time she had heard that the Mueller report didn’t completely exonerate the president.

“I was surprised to hear there was anything negative in the Mueller report at all about President Trump. I hadn’t heard that before,” she said. “I’ve mainly listened to conservative news and I hadn’t heard anything negative about that report and President Trump has been exonerated.”

The shock of the woman mentioned above is what epistemic closure and news bubbles look like in action. Democrats are going to have to overcome more than Trump on impeachment. They would also need to break through the conservative media bubble with the facts of the Mueller report. It is a fairy tale to think that Republicans will see the light of truth and justice when it comes to Trump.

Biden voters any way we can get it, and if it's a convert from a Trump supporter that's even better.

I'll focus my ire on the folks who are still planning to vote to continue the national nightmare.

I for one appreciate it.

It's the life and death CV and how DT continues to handle it that's making people sit up and take notice.

2 actually voted for Trump. One is a never-trump guy who left the president blank in 16. He is actually a good man who I have tremendous respect for. The wife and I just got furloughed starting in 2 weeks. He called immediately and told us he and his wife have resources and if we get in a bind give him a call. And he meant it.

Fortunately we will be fine. We also have resources. But since I was 13 I have worked and the idea of not working after over 40 years has me feeling a little off kilter. But a day or so on the boat In the gulf will get me fixed up!

If Biden picks Harris he is winning Florida.

Pox News addicts usually can't tolerate any other channel, the cognitive dissonance is too much for them, it's about the way we feel when we have to listen to that crap for any length of time.
