How long until those hurt by him
step up to him and tell him he's done enough damage and escort him and his republican butt suckers out and kick them to the curb, regardless of the braying republicans and magats?
Because of the damage and abuse they are doing, how long will people tolerate this shit?
How much damage is ok or tolerable?
He is not going to stop on his own.
Narcissists sociopaths and authoritarians destroy everything they can get away with,it's who they are.
I ask because I fear for our country.
I fear the horrors he and his republithugs and the magats are causing to everyone else.

(9,313 posts)It doesn't matter how many loved ones they lose. They will continue to believe it would be worse but for their dear leader.
Perhaps I'm just being too pessimistic, but I really do think he could kill someone on 5th Avenue in plain sight and keep his base hooked.
And fear of his base keeps the sycophants in the House and Senate silent.
Being responsible for thousands of unnecessary deaths just isn't enough because his base will never believe he WAS responsible. What they will believe is that the evil Dems in NY, CA, and those other Dem strongholds killed the economy unnecessarily because look, it killed less than 100,000! It wasn't that bad. We could have kept going and let it "wash over" the nation.

Remove trump, the republicans and thier bullshit? Why do we suffer these monsters so much? Why do they get away with so much again and again? We all know republicans are doing a coup against our country.

(9,313 posts)Tragically, he has a sycophantic cabinet that will never invoke the 25th -- no matter how dangerous this madman becomes.
And he is currently protected from removal by a Republican majority that shows no signs of "cracking" -- even now.
Our only out is to vote him out. And given the massive voter suppression in "certain areas" that has grown worse every election cycle, we have our work cut out for us. Republicans have stolen too many presidencies in one way or other. We have to get a BIG lead to overcome the disadvantage we face with systematic elimination of precincts, voting machines, etc., to create barriers to voting and lines that are completely unconscionable in a country that claims to have "free and fair" elections.
He has never had the support of the majority. He was not elected in a free and fair election. And the next one will not be free and fair either. We must recognize that the cards are stacked against us from the get go, and do everything in our power to overcome it.
That aside. The pandemic could be a "game changer" in ways we can't forsee at the moment. Perhaps change for the better. The stimulus is not some magic fix for the poverty suffered by the working poor. There is no repair in the offing for the parts of our metropolitan areas that have suffered decades of neglect. The most vulnerable are not just older Americans. The vulnerable -- both to the infection itself and the economic consequences -- are the bottom 25%. This could be a "last straw." The pain is becoming more visible. All we can hope is that the feeling of "we're all in this together" wakes people up to the fact we all have a responsibility to make some fundamental changes.

(6,272 posts)The urban liberals have ignored all of us in the rural areas who have been predicting this very world for decades.
And still nothing is being done about the power that monster wields.
Please get Bloomberg to shut the hate media down- once and for all.

(12,463 posts)Think of visiting as a guest or otherwise to his shit show pretending to be a magat but hammer him facts,to to talk right over him and take control of the narrative? the studio as a stealthy surprise and make him squeal so all his little audience of idiots has to hear him backpedal and whine and admit he's indeed a lying asshole??

(6,272 posts)His programs have been funded by Republican activists for nearly 4 decades now. He is why they have such a stranglehold on the Senate and the country for that matter.
It has been a very inexpensive for funders, and disaster out for our nation.

They'll never relinquish power from thier greedy old hands. They'll keep damaging everything because they are narcissists authoritarians and sociopaths.
They won't stop until they are stopped.

(12,463 posts)That will be done until than.
What is your level of tolerance of intolerable things?
I_UndergroundPanther
(12,463 posts)The elections don't happen because the nation is in crisis coming apart at the seams, people cannot get food, the coronavirus and money that could have made this impact less or harmful gets frittered away to the rich leaving the citizens high and dry? We all know the republicans don't care and they're narcissistic criminals.
They are not hiding what they are and I think they have thought about this scenario as possible.

(19,473 posts)What is in question is what it means to no longer tolerate him. He's intolerable, but he will be president until next January 20 at least. There is no mechanism to change that. Impeachment didn't result in removal, and he won't be impeached again in his first term. Amendment 25 is a joke, as we can see.
Defeating him in November, thereby ending this nightmare in January, is the only path available. Talking about people not tolerating him has no practical meaning.

(4,608 posts)but vote for him plus down-ticket Republicans. After 3.5 years I have basically given up hope for any sort of removal other than he keels over from one too many Big Macs, supersize fries and Diet Cokes. Hope I'm wrong and that somewhere there's a 25th Amendment band of angels ready to swoop in.

I_UndergroundPanther
(12,463 posts)or later the fascists must not win.
The republican fascists need to be stopped regardless.
Whether some see what they are and who they are,and some stay in denial we have to think about it.
I just think for us we gotta make some contengincy plans...take control ..
Because it could get really ugly.
Especially with trump the narcissitic waste of skin being an incompetent wannabe king and the criminals in the republican party grifting everything that's not nailed down, because corporate tyranny and disaster capitalism does not help in a crisis.

(38,187 posts)The ones who like him think his shit doesn't stink. They won't do that.
Those of us who see him for what he is can't seem to knock some sense into him because he doesn't listen to us anyhow.

(12,463 posts)Sociopaths or authoritarian
They cannot feel empathy or shame and sense cannot be talked into these monsters. But they can fake empathy and remose .
They have to be stopped,if they do not accept the vote results it may require something more forceful to make them stop.
The republicans are arrogant and full of self serving hubris. They are manipulators liars abusers. They'll never admit they are as depraved as they are. They are hoping to destroy democracy. They want the modern equivalent of the old south, with desperate poor people who are cheap to control and slaves they can do awful things to with no repercussions. They seek to go feudal on this country. They rule we suffer and serve them.
