Breaking: A sailor who tested positive for COVID-19 on the USS Theodore Roosevelt has died of coronavirus, says Navy. Nearly 600 sailors on board have now tested positive.

(102,188 posts)In the best of times, staying on a crowded claustrophobic ship, carrier, or submarine is among my worst nightmares, but with COVID-19?
I knew it would burn through the crew, but with serious illness, and now death, this is a real crisis. It surely vindicates the removed Captain.

Republicans think it is of trivial importance that they play with American lives as if it were a game of checkers. To those affected, that view seems more than a little callous.
