Without mass testing & tracking protocols, or some sort of treatment, do not go back into the office

Resist. Nothing else matters more than your health. I cannot get to work and social distance myself. It's not possible in NYC.

I refuse to go into the office until there is mass testing and tracking or some sort of treatment that can prevent death from this virus.

Especially since I can do my job from home which I have been doing for the past month.

The virus IS the Revolution. Time for labor to take back their power. The powerbrokers are desperate for us to get back to work. We have leverage.

and yours is the first statement of this fact that I have seen or heard. It is a vital message to spread, an opportunity to put what we are learning during this pandemic into action.

But my office overall is pretty sparsely populated, with well over 6 ft between everyone.

I drive in, and then I can go into my office and shut the door if I want. I only have to walk by two desks to get to my office.

Everyone there is pretty damn smart, and I'm sure they'd continue to conduct themselves wisely, not come into work if they felt the least bit bad.

My situation though is obviously not like most people.

We have to get special permission to go back in (get our monitors for example). My employer has been very supportive.

You are wise to stay in shelter. Especially if you can work at home which I'm doing, too.

My wife and I retreated to our country house a month ago and closed up our apartment. We turned off the electricity and suspended our internet/cable. I even put in a 6-month temporary change of address with the post office and got a PO Box up here.

NYC is just too crowded!

I don't think my management, especially since we work with kids, will force us back unless they feel it's safe either, thankfully.
