Apparently White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci isnt on the chopping block, despite President Donald Trump retweeting a post declaring it was time to #FireFauci on Sunday night.
This media chatter is ridiculous President Trump is not firing Dr. Fauci, White House spokesperson Hogan Gidley said on Monday afternoon.
The doctor has been and remains a trusted advisor to Trump, according to Gidley.
But the White Houses rosy messaging about government officials who seem to have fallen from Trumps good graces is rarely a good sign for the official: Former Cabinet members Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Scott Pruitt, and David Shulkin were all fired after either the White House or Trump claimed they still had his confidence.

Newest Reality
(12,712 posts)Is now infested with a disease and has become a prop for a reality TV show: Trump's American Regime.
I don't plan to put my trust in anyone in there for the foreseeable future. It is mostly a test marketing outlet for The Art of the Steal.
The place smells like old fish, too. There was a Trump/Barr tiff, then some grumbles about Fauci. Isn't that all rather ridiculous and petty, most especially during a grave, national crises that is hitting us hard from top to bottom?
That's why I consider that any infighting might just be part of the show again; a gimmick to appease or confuse. Nothing more.
