Or is it a mistake to even say this.....President Biden. Hope I just didnt jinx him. How can this country be healed politically, financially and even neighborly. How do we really survive AND thrive after ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY. Did people really hate Barack Obama that much that they would, (with help) elect a total imbecile??? Did they really hate Barack that much that they would give some schmuck the keys to our country??? I worry about how WE AS A COUNTRY are going to come back as a country.

(5,385 posts)he should be lining up cabinet and advisors right now, and all of them should be working to elect senators and congresspersons.
they can not expect much of a turnover from these persons, who are wrong about everything anyway.
some may say that prosecuting the trump administration is a priority, but much more important is just getting them out of the way.

(58,785 posts)and our first woman Democratic president once. The electoral college was only part of what happened in 2016 -- massive election interferences of many types in many places from enemies in different directions kept her from being sworn in.
So we vote in such big numbers that we overwhelm the inevitable election subversion.

(61 posts)When Obama was still President, I remember my husband and all of his friends would tell me horrible things about Obama. How his wife is a racist, Obama wasn't from this country, how Obama took credit for someone killing Bin Laden, etc. There's so many things I heard, but when I finally started researching the things I remember being told, I found out half the things they were saying were hardcore conspiracy theories and just false. Now I try to stay involved in the political world and make sure to fact check everything I listen to or read. I don't know about my husband or his friends, but I'll support the side that thinks of everyone as a whole. Republicans only want get richer.
But to get back on topic, what I heard from my husband and his friends was alot of hate for Obama. I had nothing but respect for him, because I felt taken care of. When Trump became president, I literally cried (I voted for Clinton) and told my husband it's going to be the end of the world.
Now I get emotional about it, because my gut feelings were right in the first place. Obama was an amazing president.
