Someone got $120k by accident in their account and they went to jail for spending it.

4. I think if it's a mistake by government or bank then no jail time

5. No, I would not appreciate my tax dollars going to someone who was not supposed to get it, and they

certainly know it is a mistake. If they do, they should suffer the consequences. This is no different than stealing in my book.

The cynic in me makes me think a check at that amount was meant for somebody else, but mistakenly was sent to this guy.
