Arizona man, on brink of death, saved by ECMO

Sounds like a miracle treatment for COVID-19 where the blood is oxygenated outside the body.

And this is why I'm trying to buy as much time as possible avoiding the virus. New treatments will be learned so maybe I won't have to kick the bucket after all.

I am bearing my imprisonment with good humor. I don't feel nearly as restricted in my home as I would in a 6 x 2 x 2 box. Doctors and other scientists are clever, they will not accept defeat, and I am trying my best to give them time to save me.

"I don't feel nearly as restricted in my home as I would in a 6 x 2 x 2 box." That's a great way to look at it.

treatment which requires specialized equipment, highly trained personnel and very competent physicians. Even then it is often not successful.

What I was really trying to say is, the longer I can hold off the virus, the better my chances will probably be because new treatments will be developed and tested.

Of course my main goal is to simply not get it at all.
