Don't panic. Not everyone will get it on the same day, I'm sure. People rushing to the IRS website are overwhelming that page.

Patience is a virtue. It will come. Wait a week or so, and then you can check on it if it doesn't show up in your bank account.

Nothing you can do about it anyway. It will get there when it gets there. Some are not expected until mid May.

I think about Canada and their 2000 monthly payments. People have already gotten theirs. But the federal government is focusing on bailing out the corporations. Ok sorry rant over. Hopefully some people will be helped by 1200.

2. Well, many people are counting on that money.

They're naturally nervous about it. As you say, though, there's not much they can do about it.

I'm going to wait before checking. Our social security benefits come in next Wednesday. Could be the $1200 payments will arrive the same day, since we're both on SS.

We're OK for the time being, anyhow, so I'm not going to add to the congestion on the IRS.gov site.

6. I think for those of us on SS, the two might arriving at the same time.

I get my SS the third Wednesday of the month, which is today. It always hits my checking account pretty much at midnight, as soon as it becomes that third Wednesday. Both my SS and my stimulus money arrived at exactly the same time, late last night.

10. Yes. Mine comes on the fourth Wednesday, so I expect

to see it next week. That makes sense as a way to distribute to SS recipients.

I paid my IRS taxes directly from my bank, so they could use that information, I suppose, but the SS has the deposit authorization, so I think that's my most likely way to receive the funds.

I don't know. We'll see.

15. I filed my taxes with my direct deposit info and got my 1200 today. I also get my SS on the 4th

Wednesday of each month, but I still got the 1200 in my account today. Who knows how they make these decisions.

18. I got my SS $ today as scheduled, but no relief money, most likely because we owed

$ on both our 2018 & 2019 taxes, so our bank acct info was not included in our tax return filing.

I had no problem adding that info at the IRS link around 8am today (PDT). Hopefully we get our $2400 tomorrow.

I worry because it is going to deplete very quickly. This payment or more needs to happen every month. Screw the corporations. They are leaking and misusing the trillions they've been handed since Reagan. Give it back to the people who are paying real taxes. I want all my tax dollars to go towards my fellow Americans in the 90% range, not towards weapons of war or the ultra wealthy.

Canadians could apply for the CERB on Monday a week ago. They began receiving direct deposits two days later.

Retroactive to March 15.


And, no, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's signature is not on any check for those without direct deposit.

Oh, another thing: Justin Trudeau's daily briefings have been running about 15 minutes for days now, with about 15 minutes for press questions.
