The US president announced this week he’s putting together a group including the commissioners of the nation’s top four sports leagues and other executives.
As well as ‘the great’ WWE chairman Vince McMahon, Trump also named the likes of NBA’s Adam Silver, NFL chief Roger Goodell, MLB’s Rob Manfred and NHL boss Gary Bettman.
Furthermore, he noted that UFC president Dana White is part of the team, alongside Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Trump is all about image and spectacle. He has always wanted to be a team owner though because he is such a shitty business person, he has never had the ability to be one. He has been linked to McMahon for years because WWE is about spectacle. In Trump's mind, those people are the best business people because they can sucker the average person into paying exorbitant fees to watch the spectacle.

Even though they are made to sign exclusive contracts only to appear on WWE, they are independent contractors 1099 not W-2 employees. That way, McMahon does not have to provide health care or retirement, or any other benefit.
