GOP loses lawsuit claiming they have a constitutional right to gerrymander Michigan
Published 10 mins ago on April 15, 2020By Matthew Chapman

On Wednesday, a federal appeals court threw out a lawsuit from the Michigan GOP claiming that a newly-created independent redistricting commission violates their constitutional rights.

In Michigan Republican Party v. Benson, the Sixth Circuit rejected the GOP’s argument, and will not block the commission from proceeding.

This one may be sustained on appeal, even to what passes nowadays for a high court in the capitol. It rests in no way on any statistical argument, or any form of judicial constraint on legislative power. It is simply a question of whether a law duly passed is to be followed or not.

Let them waste their money on frivolous lawsuits like this one.

Michigan voters passed a bill fair and square re: gerrymandering in 2018 and the GOP snowflakes got their panties in a bunch over it. Republicans apparently have gotten the notion that they have a constitutional right to cheat.

Precisely why it is imperative the mob currently stealing our country blind & destroying every dearly held institution be prosecuted to the absolute fullest extent of the law! And imprisoned for life.

Nixon showed them it's ok to screw voters & the country. Pardoned!

Reagan showed them it's ok to rape the country. Sainthood.

Time to play hardball with the cons! Lock them up!
