I'm still impressed with the voters of Wisconsin! The vote suppressing republicans got what they deserved.
The republicans showed their true colors by literally endangering people's lives in their effort to suppress the vote, and it was obvious. How it backfired on them is a thing of beauty.
Their biggest mistake was to piss off a ton of voters with time to vote. It never dawned on them that people being off work would have more time to actually get to the polls and stand in line. Oops...the republican worst nightmare...a large voter turnout.
Thank you Wisconsin! You give us hope!

(95,237 posts)I have not seen it in commentary, and confess it had not occurred to me. But it seems like the number of people working at home, or out of work due to businesses being shut down, may well have contributed to the number of people not only willing to vote, but able to persist for the time required in long lines.

(3,222 posts)This of course won't happen if the republicans have anything to say about it, but once the Democrats have the power to do so this should be done. It is well beyond time for voters to get the respect we deserve in this country, which means making it easier to vote and not harder!
