A question about the stimulus

If a person paid taxes, even with his or her account, will the check be mailed instead of direct deposited unless we put our payment info in? If the first part is yes, can we put our payment info in where it asks non filers? I think the first question is yes but I have no idea about the second

and of course you can't call anyone. Fortunately I am not all that much in need I just wish to avoid having Trump on my check. But I have no idea why the info supposedly doesn't match.

And I can't find a definitive answer either.

I dread the thought of a paper check coming with that ass's name on it.

Honestly I don't need the money since I am still employed but I really don't want a paper check with his name on it.

You can doctor up or color over his name - with a Sharpie, of course. It’s only in the memo area, not on the signature line.

but I don’t believe Social Security recipients are in the system. Someone suggested depositing the check by phone then using the paper check as TP.

8. It says on the site that if you're an SS recipient, do nothing

I'll just wait and see what happens.

Edited to add: I'm a SS recipient, and also always have to pay in because of my rental property income. Also, I got divorced last year, and filed a joint return with a MAGAt. (He wasn't a MAGAt when I married him. He lost his freaking mind at some point.)

Waiting to see about this, waiting to see if my wife can ever file for unemployment. Waiting for the next episodes of the shit show.

10. I think I will end up having to get a paper check because I owed money

in both 2018 and 2019. That doesn't explain why it won't accept my credentials to get in and fix it. I will try one more time tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get the site to accept my info. One thing that would have been helpful is for the website to separate out the error of doesn't match and the error of being locked out. I don't know which it is right now. Another thread explained about the address and I think that might be my problem (I used no space in 2018) but since I tried that and am still getting their worthless error message I don't know if I am still locked out or it doesn't match. I will check the app for my credit union to see if I can photo deposit. I don't think I can.

9. The IRS tool to enter your account information is broken if ...

you had an overpayment and applied it to your next year's estimated taxes. It'll ask you to verify whether you got a refund or had to pay in. Since you technically did neither, you can't answer in a way that will allow you to enter your bank account information. (This was true as of 4/15. Hopefully, they will fix this at some point. I'd really rather not have to wait for the check with Dumb Donnie's signature.)

But it would be nice to be able to do $1200 less "scrounging".
