I am on FB because it is an easy way to keep track of all my family and friends in one area.. And to be honest with you, I have not seen a lot of the crazy tea party nuttiness we saw before.. people express opinions, but they have not been so far our there.. till now
I have been seeing crazy things go across my feed for at least the last week. They are using the pandemic to complain about rights loss??

Today I am seeing crazy attacks on Virginias' Governor.. and it has to do with gun rights.. and their rights to gather.
Folks this is going to be a crazy time.. not only the pandemic and the right wing death squads (on the right are on full howl.. they are so easily influenced by the Nazi groups and the Militias etc.)
We have dangerous times ahead of us..

(13,538 posts)our state, Idaho. She's rich farmer/rancher. The focus is reopening beauty salons. And a bunch of the other well off women friends, some of whom I know, all chimed in agreeing. One said "all jobs are essential". We have ten dead in our county so far. They haven't said how many came from nursing homes but the word is several of them.
Freakin' rich ladies worried about getting their hair done and risk killing people and or causing food shortages.

The person orchestrating it is the real problem: General Trump. His High Chancellor of Gilead, Pence and the GOP goon squad are right behind him as well as the loyal army of sycophants too long to list.
Rousing the rabble is a good strategy right now and social media has been his megaphone.
He will probably stop at nothing if he can't use the economy he surfed in on and Keep America Great as a means to win the election. The circumstances call for a change in strategy, but he is the man to pull them off since he has always been an expert confidence man, mobster money launderer, manipulator, etc.
He certainly did get to this point as an imbecile by accident and luck, now did he? So, here comes the end game.

(17,467 posts)The biggest thing that they want exclusive white, Christian, conservative rule. They want to be free to act out against those that they disagree with. (thus the connection with guns) They would like to put people of color and progressives and non-Christians in their proper places. Many of them would consider the killing of Liberals to be a patriotic duty. Although they may not even realize the fact they are a bunch of Nationalistic ,Brown Shirts, traitors and ignorant Fascist bastards. They are proud of being ignorant and distrust anyone with an education. They love Trump because they consider that he is "one of them, " and they are right. They really don't care if the country collapses around them because they consider that a Representative Democracy is "mob rule."* The prefer chaos over civilization because it would allow them to be "free" to do what they wish.
If Trump can't rig the next election, these people are going to be coming out of the woodwork to "take back" their country.
* Seriously, they call majority rule, "mob rule." When questioned about how they would justify minority rule, they reply that they justify it because they are right and everyone else is wrong. With or without swastikas and jackboots they are Nazis.
The Germans let a minority like these Tea Party freaks take over their country in the 30s. We are not immune to the bastards today.

I work with an asshole who thinks stop signs and speed limits are "an infringement on his freedom".
He had his children removed from his home by the state because of his alcohol abuse and refusal to correctly
store and secure his numerous firearms. He's actually using the 2nd Amendment as his argument
in the legal proceedings regarding his kids. Two lawyers have dropped him. The only reason we know about this at work is because this guy never, ever shuts up about everything in his life.
