The US daily coronavirus death toll hit a new record yesterday.

According to the Wall Street Journal, 4,591 people died over 24 hours, nearly doubling the record of 2,569 that was set on Wednesday.

Maybe this is what he is trying to distract from today. More people died yesterday than 911.

early too, their hospitals are already full, so where are their future CV patients going to go? Where are the additional hospitals that these red states should have been constructing right and left?

They (the red states) have literally no resources as all of their doctors, nurses, other medical personnel are already tasked to other urgent tasks, such as manning the few hospitals still operating in these red states (who allowed the hospitals not profitable enough to be closed right and left, and mostly in rural areas).

Simple math can show (w/ the current massive increases going on now in rural areas) that these areas will be swamped before long.

A day of reckoning is coming full bore onto these red states, putting the hypocrisy of the rump administration in full view for all to see, along w/ the hypocrisy of the 'red states' too. After all, BS doesn't cure people, it doesn't put food on the table, it doesn't provide emergency funds that families need, etc.

Just plain old hard work, w/ no rhetoric or politics involved, is needed to address the problems of the CV. Not parades and/or protests (which is a good way to get more people sick and/or infected...nice, eh?).

When he causes more infections and deaths he'll blame those Governors. Either way trump and these red state Governors will be held accountable while their states turn more blue. I'll boycott any businesses opening that refuse to test all their employees, and cause more virus spreading from doing this prematurely.

are they counting all the people who have been "added" to the total death count that were reported in the last 24 hours, but had died previously without having been reported because they hadn't tested positive?

are they counting deaths that are not due to the virus but are due to lack of adequate medical care because of the crisis?

in any event, the daily death toll is certainly heartbreaking and scary.
