Another "liberate" protest, this time in Huntington Beach, California

Joshua Potash@JoshuaPotash·1h
Okay I’m done.

Another “liberate” protest, this time in Huntington Beach, California.

And the guy with the “COVID-19 is a lie” sign - wearing a hazmat suit, mask, goggles, and gloves - says it all.

----
As a native Californian, I'm so ashamed. No social distancing and few masks. so some will indeed catch CV-19.

Certainly would be nice. But you know if one does become infected, their families will be demanding their loved one gets a ventilator, even if all of them are in use.

They do not deserve to live in California, let alone near the beach.

16. Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa have a ton of Defense worker offspring

Their parents had good jobs working for Defense Contractors, bought homes in the 60s and 70s for about 50k and now they are worth close to a million now. Most of them LOVED Reagan, and his busting the shit out of the unions. So assembly workers, warehouse workers, AP and Procurement clerks, etc, could all buy a nice house, live a decent life, and then they said FUCK EVERYONE ELSE.

They spit in the face of everyone who got them there, they were elated that the damn UC system was seeing constant budget cuts. Then their kids couldn't come close to living the same life and they are pissed at the LIBS for doing this to them. The smart ones still figured out how to get an education, others couldn't get a cake job like their parents, paying well above the going rate a Defense Contractor, and became bitter losers.

11. Open Cali Now? Not a Native.

It would have read "Open CA now" at most. Cali is the term imports and poseures use for our state.
Like calling San Fransisco "Frisco". Natives don't use that term for their city.

Sorry to all of you sane people from Orange County.

I grew up in LA County, now living in Santa Cruz County. While demographics have changed significantly, Orange County has historically been conservative.

I expect it to get Bluer, the sane Repukes got bent over with the 'tax cuts' and are either pissed or at a minimum, not tRump fans.

The older ones with no mortgage, still are hard core. Been working here since 85, back then politics were often a topic at work, those worshiping Reagan. From early 90's on rarely a peep. Had some assholes hooting it up at work on Election Night other than that it was rare to hear anyone say anything political.
