All these blocks of states working together, while the federal government is ineffective

The West Coast pact, the Midwest pact, the East coast pact. All banding together to contain the virus and restart their economies.

It's like we're seeing the first cracks in our nation if it were to ever fall. Like what we saw when the USSR fell.

Balkanization, I believe, was the term used.

It also reminds me of Panam, the fictional post-collapse nation from The Hunger Games.
