Lest we forget we rolled him in the midterms, we rolled him in the Kentucky gubernatorial race, we rolled him in the Louisiana gubernatorial race, and we rolled him in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, and that was before his inept handling of a pandemic killed tens of thousands of our fellow Americans and wrecked the economy.

(99,710 posts)He lost the popular vote by 3,000,000 votes to Hillary Clinton and won the Electoral College by 77,000 votes in WI, PA, and MI. If we can't convince 77,000 people in those states and frankly a lot more in the rest of the nation they were infinitely better off four years ago and it's because of Trump's maladministration they aren't we need to find a new country.

(99,710 posts)It would also be foolish to ignore his inept handling of it which made the crisis worse. All presidents have crises to deal with. How they deal with it defines them. We and Trump were lucky until the virus came to our shore. His and our luck ran out.

(10,143 posts)They'll resurrect Trump after Labor Day, say he's pivoted and acting more presidential. Those annoying undecided voter focus group segments will be all over cable news shows, with panels of incredibly stupid people sharing their amazingly ignorant thoughts on who they support. And then the polls will tighten up.
