What will they say if a benevolent Democratic president were take office, and started to emloy the very moves the Trumpanzees cheered and blessed while he was in office?
Would they yell and scream about the suddenly-discovered unconstitutionality of the new president's actions?
Of course they would, that goes without saying.
But would they dare to mount the actual legal challenges they would be screaming about when there are hours of videos of them proclaiming at the top of their voices that Trump had every legal right to act as he did? They'll try, of course, but I don't know if they have installed enough corrupt judges to get their challenges held up.

And would the press do their jobs and point out the double standards?
Would we have this mess if broadcast news did and were doing their jobs?
(Said "broadcast" because the majority of Americans don't read anything but FB apparently.)

(9,971 posts)Trump Republicans re even worse than the pre-Trump Republican Party, which was pretty bad. But todays Republicans have no morals, no character, no respect for the law, no respect for the Constitution, and no respect for the truth. They respect two things only: money and power. There is no level to which they will not sink.
If Biden is elected in November, his every action and comment will be followed by screams and histrionics by Republicans. And if they still hold a Senate majority, McConnell will block every bill except for the mandated budget bills. Hes already sitting on Hundreds of bills passed by the House.

(14,563 posts)first, we KNOW how they are going to act given what they did with three very good and decent Democratic POTUS we have had since LBJ - ruthlessly work to slander and undermine them.
Second, the supposition of a Joe Biden presidency would include the current POTUS still being alive. He now is in singular possession of the republican party and however bad it was with Carter, Clinton and BHO, it will be 1,000 times worse with him in full vindictive mode.
