(58,785 posts)Not, "Crazy Republican cocksuckers."
False equivalency. Where would they be without the Democratic forest to hide in?
DiBitetto's rant reeks of RW populist rage (socially conservative, economically progressive-for-me), and I'd bet what I just paid for a monthly grocery shopping DiBitetto voted a straight Republican ballot, including Trump, and will again. Or he could be one of those terminal nonvoting assholes who think being too lazy to know there's a difference is clever, but he puts a lot of energy into this, so I'm guessing a not-so-closet Trumpster who won't admit it.
Btw, three days ago Democratic senators introduced a giant $30 billion testing bill to match the one already PASSED by house Democrats that's been gathering dust in McConnell's empty office -- along with 4 months of OTHER containment and then mitigation bills passed by Democrats and blocked by the greedy, cocksucking, genocidal Republicans.

(58,785 posts)If he voted Democrat and believed in ANYTHING we were for, he wouldn't mistake us with the authors of the Republican pandemic. Because he'd know what HE believed in and voted for. That he has nothing is a dead giveaway.
And this also says he does know perfectly well and isn't about to admit it. Every year the numbers who voted for Trump in 2016 drop far more dramatically than the numbers who will vote for him in 2020.
Of course he coulda been with the LW populist movement for a while, both movements have plenty of antagonistic social conservatives and denied Democrats were any different, but the screaming-rage style just suggests RW.
And yes, I did listen to spots -- the beginning, some middle and end. Wrapups can sometimes deliver significant messages, but just more of the same here.

Interestingly, though not exactly on point, reminds me Pew found most people held at least one view common to the extremes of the "other side." Western conservatives tend to be very different in significant ways than southern conservatives. Among many, many other interesting bits common to the human goulash. Including conservatives who think "Born in the USA" and "American Land" speak for them.
Also very on point, comedy is an extremely effective tool in subverting beliefs. And the subversion here is that government is bad and both Republicans and Democrats are equally at fault.
As I recall, ONE of the parties has that as a core belief: The conservative party.
While the liberal party created and is protecting our liberal democracy from destruction by the "ranti-government" conservatives.

(58,785 posts)and as a lyricist I would expect him to establish the theme he intended to get across in the beginning (and I listened for a long time) and reinforce it at the end. Not bury it somewhere in the middle after hitting a very contradictory message over and over with a sledgehammer everywhere else.
The official message is "where is the help," but the message hammered home is that "government" is refusing help.
This guy's likely just an underprincipled jerk putting out noise that'll appeal to his following, and perhaps to himself. But if I was informed that Russian intelligence or some Koch-backed outfit paid for this that'd be credible too because persuading vulnerable minds there're no good people to vote for is a huge part of what they do. In fact, that same message is all over RT's product and similarly subversive shows that use entertainment as the delivery vehicle.
