#FloridaMorons trends after people flock to reopened Florida beaches

Aerial snapshots of people flocking to a reopened beach in Jacksonville, Fla., made waves on the Internet on Saturday.

Local news aired photos and videos of Florida’s shoreline dotted with people, closer than six feet apart, spurring #FloridaMorons to trend on Twitter after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) gave the go-ahead for local beachfront governments to decide whether to reopen their beaches during a news briefing Friday. Duval and St. Johns counties have reopened their beaches, while Miami-Dade County officials said they are considering following suit.

On the same day that Florida reported 58 deaths from the coronavirus — its highest daily toll since the pandemic began — DeSantis told reporters that it’s essential that Floridians get exercise outdoors.

“I get a kick out of somebody jogging on the beach in California, like all by his lonesome, and you have a fleet of cops go out there,” he said. “He’s just jogging. Going forward, I think we’ve got to be promoting people to get exercise.”

Add a breeze or some wind gusts to blow it around. Perfect!

We all know that, in a couple of weeks or so, we will see how well that worked out, as well as all the freedumb lovers out there wanting their right to die miserably and infect others back.

USA! USA! USA! We have death tolls to beat, so get out there you virus patriots!

I mean if the election were next week, they could spout their bs with confidence that the death toll wouldn't hit until after the election, but with more than 6 months to go, the disastrous outcome of their policies will be plain to see when the bodies start piling up.

It spits in the face of everyone who is working to fight this, it disrespects the healthcare workers who are literally putting their lives on the line. If they were just endangering their own lives then I'd argue that they would have the right to risk shredding their lungs because they want a haircut, but the virus doesn't care about us vs them. As long as some of us are at risk then all of us are at risk, and these motherfuckers want to extend it.

Worst case scenario - neighboring states close their borders, and Florida goes back to being a jungle ruled by panthers and gators.
