The key undeniable fact to keep in front of voters: Trump FAILED TO DEFEND America

It does not matter how the virus originated.
It does not matter where it originated.
Trump failed at his primary duty.

He swore to defend the US Constitution. You can't do that if you fail to defend the country of that Constitution. How do you keep a nation free by failing to defend it?

The Vice President, each Member of Congress, all officers in federal service (military and civilian as well as every enlisted service member explicitly swears to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic …", except the President. But as Commander in Chief, it is implicit, as well as being implicit in the President's Oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and [b]defend the Constitution of the United States."

Trump failed to defend the US.
He destroyed some of the warning systems (2018, 2019).
He "trusted" the WHO though he now says they are untrustworthy.
He disbelieved the USA Intelligence Community.
So many other markers of inaction and wrong actions.

Political advocacy is most effective when it clear, simple, and undeniably true.

Please add points and ideas on how to keep this key fact front and foremost through Nov 3 in the minds of voters.

How Trump let the U.S. fall behind the curve on coronavirus threat
By David S. Cloud, Paul Pringle, Eli Stokols
April 19, 2020 | 5 AM

WASHINGTON — The first day President Trump mentioned the coronavirus in public, only one American was known to be infected. He assured the rest of the country it had no reason to worry.

“We have it totally under control,” Trump said Jan. 22 from Davos, Switzerland. “It’s going to be just fine.”

Behind the scenes, however, even some of his close aides thought the virus posed a much greater threat to the nation and to Trump.

Three months later, the United States leads the world in reported numbers of people infected and killed by the virus, with more than 39,000 dead. States, counties and local hospitals are desperately bidding against one another for scarce ventilators and other lifesaving equipment in a marketplace dominated by chaos, profiteering and fraud. And the country’s economy is in free fall, with more than 20 million Americans filing unemployment claims in the last month.

Trump has at various times called the catastrophe unforeseeable or blamed the World Health Organization and China; his predecessor, who he claimed left him an “empty shelf” of medical equipment; and state governors whom he accused of mismanaging the health crisis.

But from the first international reports of the virus’ appearance in China in late December until Trump declared a nationwide emergency in mid-March, his administration delayed or bungled basic but crucial steps to contain the spread of infections and prepare the country for a pandemic, according to a Times review of internal government records and interviews with administration officials and outside experts.

And he has trump so compromised with republicans in Congress now , watch for oil sanctions getting lifted for him soon, because russia's economy has to be near collapsing with oil prices tanking now. putin and trump are desperate, and in deep , deep trouble.

... until about two weeks ago. Now Russia is blowing up and Putin is extremely worried as revealed by video conference calls with regional Russian leaders he has been making.

He may have told tRump through intermediaries early on (say last week January) something like "Don't do much yet. It'll burn itself out and is not really much more than the flu. Let it get a hold and then you can stomp it out and look like a hero and get re-elected." Or maybe "Let it rage a bit and then bring in authoritarian measures and force your own re-election."

But who knows, at this point.
