I recall having seen a pickup truck flying the US and Confederate flags, and I wanted so badly to tell the driver, Dude, do you know that there was a war between those two countries whose flags are on your truck, and our country won? And the leaders of that other country actually committed treason? So WTF are you trying to say?

7. I don't think an American flag is suppposed to be allowed to be shredded like that.

I was floating the Snake river in Idaho with some buddies one day. We come around a bend and this dude with a nice jetboat has it beached with a big American flag on the back hanging down in the water. One of my buddies was a marine and gave him hell about it! Kind of in a joking way but he really wasn't. To his credit, the guy conceded he fucked up and hopped right to getting it out of the water. It's not like he had much choice though, we had him and his buddy outnumbered.

all over the place don't show any more respect for it than they would a dishtowel.

It might be satisfying to think of doing that but there's that whole pesky 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech thing.

"I may not agree with what you say, Sir, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." applies to even flying the flag of losers and traitors.

Of course she has every right to yell "GET A BRAIN MORAN!" as they pass the truck...

13. I agree with you about freedom of expression... but...

I don't care that this woman tore down a symbol of treason and hate. The vehicle in question is on a flat bed being towed, the owner may have just gotten a DUI, or arrested for some other infraction. There's always hope, right?

The stars and bars have been normalized and accepted over time, but f**k these people that display them. I'm tired of coddling traitors and seditionists. You know damn well if the tables were turned ol' Billy Bob would give no f**ks.

This past weekend I got in an argument with a good friend of mine. He thinks that stupid people can still be 'turned'. I disagree. Then we discussed worst case scenario's.
