A sad day in history, 25 years ago.

The bombing in Oklahoma City. Which killed and wounded a lot of innocent people, children too.

I remember where I was at. Delivering a load of fertilizer to a hardware store in Kansas. The manager ran out to the receiver & telling him not let me help unload. We didn’t know, after I called in after I was unloaded, my dispatcher told me he called down there and told them not to let me handle any bags. My father was in KC delivering fertilizer also and they call down there to tell them too! It was a bit scary to get back to Omaha with an empty trailer that had fertilizer in it!

I had the day off from work, was home with my son, who was a baby at the the time. I remember the rescuers trying to save the daycare children. Just a horrible, horrible event, seems like it was largely forgotten because of Sept. 11.
