Anxiety DUers: How are you holding up?

Other than a few rough days near the beginning of the shutdown, but work, politics and keeping the kid on track with his distance learning kept me busy and sane. Ket up with my meds but I'm long overdue for a therapy session, so I will try to arrange one over the phone. A bad burrito gave me a two-day scare but I'm over it and I no longer display any kind of symptoms.

I am here for you, though and I wanted to check in with thoes of you coping with your anxiety in a VERY anxious time. How are you holding up? Do you have access to medication, counseling? Do you have someone to talk to. I'm here via email if you wish and I am sure other in the community are as well.

Be safe, be sane. We're in this together.

made out of Ativan. These little anti-anxiety pills are suddenly not cutting it. Hang in there, Randy.

I was breaking through on my meds before this all started and actually had an appointment with a new shrink to talk about changing the dosage, supplementing with something, or changing altogether. My original doctor retired, so I had to make an appointment with a new one and now they are only seeing established patients for emergencies. I don't feel like I'm that desperate, so I am hanging in there for now. Frankly, the isolation helps me.

Thanks for checking, RandySF.

I take my medications, as ordered by provider, and a appt. set up the first week of May, with my counselor I stay busy with things around the house, spending some time working on the flower beds, hanging out with my pets. I stay in touch with friends, my grown children.
Staying home, is not too bad, as it is the one thing I can do to be helpful and responsible right now. I go out to get food and dry goods, about once a week, I wear a face covering, and follow social distancing.

I stay up to date, on the current situation of the Coronavirus, but I'm not glued to my computer, or the news media all the time

I read mystery stories, as an escape, or watch something like "THE Zoo", on Animal Planet.

It's like, stay in the moment, 1 day at a time. I am very grateful for DU, that there are angels, heroes, and generous hearts, my sons, friends, the pets and a home that is my safe place. Peace, and be well.
