I cannot fucking believe it, it is snowing again here in upstate New York.

My wife and I have been talking about moving too Florida because our son lives there. I love Upstate New York, I have lived here my whole life. My ancestors have lived here since the 1650s. However I may have to.

I can mentally handle a long pandemic. This horrible spring has convinced me I cannot mentally handle a long term pandemic and horrible cold , wind, rain , snow for months on end.

During a long term pandemic I have to be able to at least sit outside, go for long walks. I am suffering badly because of the weather now. If there is a second wave this fall, next winter will be very dangerous for my mental health.

I will have to see what happens, right now the future is very hard predict. Protecting your mental health will be very important if this pandemic lasts years.

I'm not going anywhere until probably 2nd week in May when the boat goes in @ Cayuga Lake.

Besides, snow > mowing.

Ohio winters just seem to last forever for him and he loves to be outside, but not when it’s freezing cold. We had snow the other day and we’ve barely gotten past 50 all spring.

OTOH here in NE Ohio we seem to have 9 months of cold and 3 months of miserable hot.

We’ve vacationed in Fla. about 6 times, and although the beaches are lovely, that was the only thing down there I liked. And for me, 3 or so days of sitting on a beach is enough!

I don't mind the cold, when it should be cold, but it's gardening season. This is just cruel!

Spring came early here. Daffodils came up in March, which is early for NYC. The magnolias are almost spent.
Redbud trees are blooming now. Normally they bloom in early May.

Try moving to Westchester. You would still be in NY and near things you have known your entire life but have a much milder winter.

We are no where close to that and the long range forecast shows more rain and cold and wind. The wind has been unreal for weeks.

So Western NY - and it's snowing again there. She's so depressed. She just wants to get into her garden. I've ordered some larger containers from Amazon to deliver directly to her - so she can replant her seedlings.

For her mental health - I need her to get some sunshine and fresh air. She's from the mountains in California.

Sorry you are enduring this. I say get out and move to a place that makes you happy when you next get the chance. We’ll all be buried in CV19 again next year so might as well ride it out somewhere nice.

This spring has absolutely sucked. It still feels like winter, and it's supposed to be cold for as far as I could see into May in the extended forecast. I don't blame you for wanting to move.

The combination of the pandemic and horrible weather has me thinking about it for mental health reasons. Like I said, it's impossible to predict what is going to happen next. Will there be a second wave? Will things be better come fall. Will I be able to go back to work. Will there be treatments coming out in the next few months.

It's a mess.

It's easy with Ambesonne's curtains - pick a peaceful seasonal photo theme, shut your neutral blinds and pull the curtains, sit in your favorite chair or whatever from across the room and you can be out among the Spring flowers/showers, at a hot Summer beach or in the rural green lakeside morning haze, out among the colored leaves of Autumn, or even in a in soft snowy setting in Winter or be face to face with Santa or the sparklng decor during the Holidays - Enjoy all the seasons, each in turn? Change out what speaks to your idyllic imagination. The curtains are lined, washable, durable, filter the sunshine but don't fade if blinds are behind.

I started out trying to find vertical blind slats that create that effect, but the choices were limited for mural photo art or very, very expensive because they custom print YOUR own photo into mural blinds, or are imported because no American company seems to have a large enough full color blind printer.

Lots of themed choices, even out of this world. It works for me! I'm always in the colorful and crispy air of the Autumn woods behind the triple length patio-door for under $100 through the Amazon. There's no place like home to be forever in a favorite place or season all year long.

Warren County, north of Glens Falls, south of Lake George. I went to take my dog out and the ground was covered. I can't say I was shocked, this is snow country, often well into Spring, but it was a surprise.

New York for 12 years. Maybe not as upstate as you are.. I lived ay the base of the Adirondacks in Little Falls, New York.

I hated to leave my friends but I was keen to get out of the sometimes more than 6 months of frozen ice chest in a year.

So I retired back to Kauai, where I lived from 1992 to '98, where my son has lived since 1985.
