They tried that with my Dad a WW2 vet who was Anti-Gun, claimed he owned on a membership.
But he had been dead for two months.

They even sent him a letter a week later. I got so pissed I email them asking how they got his email and address.
They said most likely the VFW or American Legion sold them their list. I don't know what to believe
