What a Fiddler Senator Byrd was. He was a stickler for Congressional History. I remember him for his speeches on the honor of the Senate.

This is what he would have done to Moscow Mitch.

called "Rhythm and Roots", and it's fabulous! We've been going to it for years and have seen some spectacular performances. There's usually a good mix of Cajun/Zydeco also. These people know how to par-tay!

but there are thousands of us willing to pay the price. What I find interesting is the extent of the fan base, especially in areas where you might not expect it. Who knew that Little Rhody was a hotbed of bluegrass fans and followers?? Well, we knew, but thought it was a well-kept secret. LOL.

I don't recall how that rating came to be, but I recall attending B/G concerts in N.Y.C. featuring Bill Monroe, Seldom Scene, Doc W., Ralph Stanley.

Most were also free.

South Street Seaport had a free bluegrass concert every summer.

It's beautiful, and I love bluegrass and Appalachian music like this, but I always hear darker undertones (suffering & loss).

What find and thanks for sharing.
