(10,885 posts)but there are thousands of us willing to pay the price. What I find interesting is the extent of the fan base, especially in areas where you might not expect it. Who knew that Little Rhody was a hotbed of bluegrass fans and followers?? Well, we knew, but thought it was a well-kept secret. LOL.

(12,358 posts)I don't recall how that rating came to be, but I recall attending B/G concerts in N.Y.C. featuring Bill Monroe, Seldom Scene, Doc W., Ralph Stanley.
Most were also free.
South Street Seaport had a free bluegrass concert every summer.
