McConnell's office is distributing a document titled “Stopping Blue State Bailouts.”
So it's probably time for Joe Biden to echo his old boss: There's not a Blue State America and a Red State America. There's the United States of America.

Republicans count on the fact that Democratic politicians and people in general fundamentally believe that government should be an instrument to lift all people up. We believe that all people have value and that the government should work to help us in times of need and set as equal a playing field as possible.

Republicans typically believe that people should suffer for their choices, unless of course they are rich, then they should never suffer because they are just better than everyone else.

"Blue State Bailouts" will be the next Fox News/RW media wall-to-wall buzzphrase...

Even though, as pointed out upthread, it's actually "Blue States" that massively subsidize "Red States" through tax contributions:

(2017) AP FACT CHECK: Blue high-tax states fund red low-tax states

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders have spent months promoting the myth that red low-tax states are subsidizing blue high-tax states because of the deduction for state and local taxes.

An Associated Press Fact Check finds it’s actually the other way around. High-tax, traditionally Democratic states (blue), subsidize low-tax, traditionally Republican states (red) — in a big way.

They can never afford the money that could be used to provide health care, disaster relief, or social programs, yet they can ALWAYS find the money to buy weapons, wage war, or subsidize wealthy people with tax cuts.

They always seem to care about the deficit when a Democratic President is in office. It is odd that they are doing this with Trump in office, but again, money for non rich people is bad. Money for rich people is just the way things should be.

Stopping Blue State Bailouts of Red States

It’s an annual occurrence as blue states provide the money for red states to get goodies from Republican handouts.

Attach that to a chart showing which states get the most federal dollars and pay the least.

Ya know:

CA alone would be the 5th-6th largest world economy. Plus all that tech.

NYC is a global financial center.

The NY-NJ-CT region is a global corporate center.

Chicago is the center of US agribusiness, and the futures trading exchanges for grains are located there.

If McConnell and the GOP get any more cute with us in the blue states, well. . .they damn well better consider these possible blowbacks. . .

You need pharmaceuticals in Alabama? South Carolina? Kentucky? There will be a surcharge.

All that construction in Louisville? Birmingham? Spartanburg? Lexington? Your local banking system doesn't have the capacity to sustain it, so we'll continue lending to you...at 10% or more.

Those farms in Nebraska? Iowa? Missouri? Kentucky? We now own them, and you have one week to GTFO.

In short, McConnell and the GOP had fucking better well come to their senses, 'cause this is an extremely dangerous game they're playing with us; and it's not wise to attack someone unilaterally when they we have the power to ruin you, financially and otherwise.

informed that the Blue states support the Red states with the taxes that they pay. Since the Red states have more poor people than the Blue states, where does the money come from to help them out? The Red states have more unemployed and people living in poverty than the Blue states. Many of them reside in Moscow Mitch's own state. If the Blue states decide it is time to support their own residents, and let the Red states do likewise, Kentucky and other southern states would be in even worse shape than they are now.
