WI Repub Party Treasurer: "I implore you please leave Confederate flags & AR15s, AK47s, at home"

“OK folks, I implore you, please leave Confederate flags and/or AR15s, AK47s, or any other long guns at home. I well understand that the Confederacy was more about states rights than slavery. But that does not change the truth of how we should try to control the optics during the event.”

— Wisconsin Republican party treasurer Brian Westrate, quoted by the New York Times, in a private Facebook group for organizers of stay-at-home protests.

I am not referring to the validity of the statement, but the implications, of course. It is highly suggestive and inflammatory, i.e., insurrection, treason, civil war, etc.

That's another illustration of stochastic terrorism, as per General Trump's model.

Also, isn't in the STATE imposing these limitations? Now, we need a flag for county rights?

He hints and was getting ammo. A few months ago when they county was getting ready to vote on those “sanctuary” things.

He was in a long established gun store. The owner was telling a couple of guys who were going to the county board meeting, “Look. Do us a favor. Leave the long Guns at home. They don’t do us any good especially with the cameras there”.

Sorry but any way you try to parse it, "economic self determination", resisting the Federal Government, etc... You keep asking "TO WHAT" or "FOR WHAT" and the answer will get to the REAL reason the Confederacy formed and attacked the United States.

SLAVERY.

They wanted the States Right to maintain and expand SLAVERY.

Their economic system was built on SLAVERY

The Confederate Flags (all of them) were flown in defense of SLAVERY

It is in the Constitutions of several Confederate States AND the Vice President of the Confederacy himself said it. SLAVERY

The Confederate States committed Treason, and took up arms attacking the United States FOR SLAVERY.

The only heritage the Battle Flag of the Confederacy represents is a group of states who wanted SLAVERY and went to war against the United States because of it.

These crybabies and their fomenters are a pathetic bunch. You never see a Koch, Mercer, or Liz U., Diarrhea Don and DD Jr. et al standing on the street protesting. They sacrifice their lemming groupies. And the dumb asses fall for it every time.

Suckers.

45. From the Mississippi ordinance of Secession:
Thu Apr 23, 2020, 04:13 PM
Apr 2020

"In the momentous step which our State has taken of dissolving its connection with the government of which we so long formed a part, it is but just that we should declare the prominent reasons which have induced our course.

" Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution, and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin. That we do not overstate the dangers to our institution, a reference to a few facts will sufficiently prove.
