How is Richard Epstein still able to publish articles that aren't laughed into oblivion?

Below is a very interesting look back at the entire saga of NYU/Hoover Institute’s Richard Epstein weighing in on COVID19.

What is worse than his original horrendous writing is the fact that he and/or others at Hoover have tried diligently to hide just how pathetically bad his own original model was.

The interview he was coming off as a clueless moron so then he doubled down in trying to defend what a smart guy he is and came off looking even more ridiculous.

Even with all that, the Hoover Institute published a follow up article from Epstein where he tried to argue that since the lockdowns are working we need to end the lockdowns.
