"He did not say inject yourself with disinfectant"

Posted by some unfortunate airhead 30 something relative of a facebook friend and it ended up on my feed.

The slap back was immediate, and harsh. Even from people I know darn well voted for the Whacko in Chief. Yes people have short memories and there's plenty of time to try and paint Biden as worse than the devil himself. But mark my words, the Republicans are in big trouble with this one. Voters are having none of this.

Huge blunder. He knows it. That's why he cut the Scary Clown Show short yesterday, and didn't even invite his prop-doctors.

or injecting disinfectant and/or bleach into the human body?

Come on now. And trump is a billionaire? Yeah, right. This is beyond pathetic and what's even worst, the republican house reps and senators that allow this POS to go on, ranting and raving. What is actually in it, for these people?

I know that there are UV disinfectant lights inside water purifiers, etc., but never ever inside the human body. What is one supposed to do? Swallow miniature battery powered UV lights that well eventually exit the body after exposing the inside of the human body w/ intense UV lights?

I laugh jokingly, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone soon will come up w/ such a similar idea, and then tr to patent the idea at the patent office. IMHO, this is medically a farce (you'll never be able to UV a 100% of the human body's trillions of square miles of interior surfaces and / or insides of all cells which may contain the CV).

13. Ultraviolet Irradiation of Blood: "The Cure That Time Forgot"?

It's not even a new idea.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6122858/

Ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI) was extensively used in the 1940s and 1950s to treat many diseases including septicemia, pneumonia, tuberculosis, arthritis, asthma and even poliomyelitis. The early studies were carried out by several physicians in USA and published in the American Journal of Surgery. However with the development of antibiotics, UBI use declined and it has now been called “the cure that time forgot”. Later studies were mostly performed by Russian workers and in other Eastern countries and the modern view in Western countries is that UBI remains highly controversial.

I've seen the same rebuttals from Trump supporters. Having said something that comes in at an "11" on the 1-10 scale of incredibly stupid things, what do you do? So, there are the two explanations. One is the "he didn't say that" defense. Then they post the video or the transcript of his comments. Well, he kind of did say it-if you can interpret the gobbledygook of words that actually came out of his mouth. I guess you need to wear a MAGA hat with its built-in bullshit translator to make sense of that. But if that's the best defense you have, then so be it. Explanation number two. It was a satirical comment. Really? Now I know that wasn't a sarcastic remark (I am a sarcastic SOB myself and take it from me, that wasn't sarcasm) but let's play along. People by the thousands are dying and you feel it's an appropriate time to crack a few jokes? OK, laughter being the best medicine and all. So, you're either a complete idiot or a horse's ass. That's quite a choice. Of course we know that both things are true.

No
"So you are saying he's a jerk"
No
"Then what are you saying?"

And THAT was from his MOM. - who proudly voted Republican in 2016.

He didn’t tell people to inject themselves. He told professionals to waste their time looking into maybe you could do what you can do on surfaces inside the body.

They can't have it both ways.

the surface of your organs inside your body. This isn't "thinking out of the box." And the idea that he thinks he has any ideas to contribute to those who are searching for cures/vaccines is astounding. Why does he think he has any input or that anyone working on it as a real scientist would think his ideas were anything but lunacy?

Funny thing is, I've seen so many that hate the media say, "What I like about Trump is he puts the media in a bind all the time so they can't take him out of context." But with this, those same people are saying "the media's taking him out of context! That's not what he said!". They always pivot like that in their defense of Trump!

If he was taken out of context, why would a company like Lysol have come out and make a statement? Did they take him out of context, too?

Sat Apr 25, 2020, 01:01 PM
Apr 2020

A Facebook friend shared someone else’s post that claimed that Trump said “disinfectant” because he’s not a medical professional- he really meant “medicine” which is the medical term. After a swift number of commenters called bullshit, she deleted the post. These people will go to any length to justify things he says, but it’s going to be hard to shake this one. He obviously said “disinfectant” and he obviously wasn’t being sarcastic, because if they go with that explanation he comes across even worse. There’s no other way to spin this one.
