The following candidates' names were removed from the NYS Presidential primary ballot today....

All eight of them have endorsed Joe Biden:

Michael Bloomberg
Pete Buttigieg
Tulsi Gabbard
Amy Klobuchar
Deval Patrick
Bernie Sanders
Tom Steyer
Elizabeth Warren
Andrew Yang

The supporters of seven of those candidates appear to be fine with the decision of the Board of Elections.

I was going to vote for Warren, even though she's not running anymore, because I figured now that it's over I might as well cast a vote for the person I really wanted to vote for. I am bummed at being denied even that. This was also a stupid thing to do because there's a Congressional special election that day, and Bernie asking his supporters to cast a symbolic vote might have driven turnout up on our side a bit. Neither Biden nor the DNC requested this, so I don't know why the state Board of Elections is doing it.

The fewer delegates pledged to Sanders are certified for the convention, the less disruption may be contrived. The inability to make mischief is the best assurance none will be made. Personally, I do not fully trust Sanders to behave himself, and would prefer a situation where whether he can be trusted or not is immaterial, because he has been deprived of any ability to do damage. Even if one trusts Sanders, it is certain there will be some among the delegates pledged to him who will be bent upon disruption, and again, the fewer there are, the less chance they can manage real harm. Heaven knows when only one candidate continues in the field, that candidate ought to get all remaining delegates in a bloc.
