OHIO results coming in now - Here - Ohio called for Biden.

Last edited Tue Apr 28, 2020, 07:59 PM - Edit history (3)

As of Monday, 1,975,806 Ohioans had requested a vote-by-mail ballot and 1,458,936 voters had already returned them, according to the secretary of state’s office. The deadline to request a ballot was Sunday, but returned ballots will be counted as long as they were postmarked by Monday and arrive within 10 days of Election Day, which would be May 8.

Initial results will begin to be released Tuesday night, but will not be finalized until after May 8 to allow time to count all ballots.

We want to see the vote-by-mail response for sure as it may be important concerning future elections, so this is good.

Ohio lacks the sensible sort of law New York recently adopted. Hopefully the old Knickerbockers have set an example.

Sanders is still hoping for more delegates, to have greater 'leverage' for trying to force the Party's candidate to adopt policies and measures Sanders could not manage to get a majority for in even the relatively left-leaning Democratic primary electorate. Sanders seems to think these will sell like hot-cakes to all the middle of the road types and even right of center sorts who make up the bulk of the electorate in a nationwide general election for President.

Elizabeth Warren hadn't quit when I voted, for instance...seems a very long time ago...

There are other issues and races on the ballot, as well.

She was out by the time our primary came, and a vote that would count against 'Bernie' seemed the best choice, sentiment aside....
