They will vet his VP candidates and his decision will be made with their recommendations at a later date.

He did that today: Chris Dodd (former CT senator), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE representative), Eric Garcetti (LA mayor), and Cynthia Hogan (long-time Biden aide).
