In the 60's when The Black Panther Party started carrying guns to protect themselves and their communities from violence against them by racists. Protested at the capitol with their guns - America found a way to say, oh no, we can't have guns. Its too dangerous to have all these black folks with guns. So lets pass laws to get rid of guns.

Fast forward to today, white folks can walk around armed to the teeth as if they are in a war, pitch a fit about its their god given right to take their AKs into a supermarket or public park with kids. Own huge caches of weapons and ammunition cuz deer hunting and all.
Despite the trend of gun violence in this country - Politicians will allow them to cosplay with weapons of war.

So no, you are not being biased at all.

Search for a while and see if it's happened. But it may be hard to actually dig through Google to find, so if it's not in the first five hits that just proof you haven't found evidence, not proof that the evidence doesn't exist.


I personally think that people have attributed a mistaken motive to why they have them--less intimidation and more showing they're not backing down. There's a difference.
