Donald Trump's four-step plan to reopen the US economy - and why it will be lethal

Graphic mine

The truth

The biggest obstacle to reopening the economy is the pandemic itself.

Any rush to reopen without adequate testing and tracing – far more than now under way – will cause a resurgence of the disease and another and longer economic crisis.

Maybe Trump is betting that any resurgence will occur after the election, when the economy appears to be on the road to recovery.

The first responsibility of a president is to keep the public safe. But Donald Trump couldn’t care less. He was slow to respond to the threat, then he lied about it, then made it hard for states – especially those with Democratic governors – to get the equipment they need.

Now he’s trying to force the economy to reopen in order to boost his electoral chances this November, and he’s selling out Americans’ health to seal the deal. This is beyond contemptible.

He will risk the life of millions... but because of the social and economic disparities in the data to date with socially deprived black and brown people by a factor of up to 3 (in UK at least), I am sure he is perfectly fine with that.

Unfortunately the collateral death among non-morons will probably be worse.
Pandemic doesn’t discriminate or have a sense of fairness.

First, that nonsense released is just a set of vague guidelines with no real tactics to execute. That's not a plan.
Second, there's NEVER a plan with these disorganized gang of punks. It's whatever dumb idea that pops into someone's head that day which can be sold to PINO as a good idea.
There's never any actual execution method.
They are constantly just winging it.
I dig the post in sentiment though!

Distract, Accuse and Abuse are the 3 operating principles. They are terribly inept at true, constructive leadership. They dream of walking over the bodies of those they despise for being weak, lesser creatures.

Trump operates as a reactive tyrant using his fear and anger to shape and motivate policies.

I see it as floundering, and the push to reopen is based on wishful thinking for a recovering economy, in time to get votes.
The economy, as artificially "good" as it was, was all he had.

of his performance. Money has always been his manhood, as it were.
My perspective is that he got the job BECAUSE he is such an awful leader. The reason why Putin wanted him in the White House was to cause as much harm as possible.
He so clearly lacks any perspective that would inform him of how unwise, for economic as well as health reasons, it is to force re-opening. It is also clear just how much he depended on a disposable cadre of subordinates to cushion his "reality". He also has no clue whatever that it is his throwaway management style that has brought him to the present point of chaos. This is to say nothing of his venal and voilent personality.

is going to be one of the last countries to recover from this pandemic. When I say recover I only mean stopping people dying, the economic damage will be huge, many small businesses are going to go bankrupt because Trump gave small business loans to big business which also means higher unemployment.

That daily coronavirus task force meeting made the whole thing very real to people. Eliminating that gives the public the false sense that this thing is over. It's diffused now to the states. So culpability is transferred to the state government. When more infections and death occur, it will be the governor's fault.

The only thing trump will involve himself in now is taking credit for a vaccine. And I still think we would be very remiss not using this as a key campaign issue. Do you want this man who doled ventilators, PPE and test kits with favoritism, like his personal property, to be in charge of deciding who gets a vaccine?

He has lied about everything, he pretends to know somethings and denies he knew about other things! He gives out false information and is banking on his base to listen to him! His mindless ego has no plans! It’s all about himself and how he looks, no matter what planned steps he takes!

beyond any chance of pulling back, setting up a defense and negotiating any reasonable terms of peace. They had gone too far and knew they had to pull off a miracle to turn the tide of the war. They came up with a desperation plan known as the battle of Kursk that cost them a huge part of their offensive capability. Later they tried a similar move that we call The Battle of the Bulge.

To Trump, Jarvanka, Uday, Qusay and the rest of the collaborators, we have to open now and it has to work. Otherwise they are finished. It's a matter of life and death to them, possibly literally. None of them will do well in prison and like Hitler, they don't care if people die from their trying.

In the end, Hitler blamed everyone. The generals, his troops and the German people. They let him down and deserved to be destroyed.

Trump stalled initially on recognizing the threat of the virus, now he's in a rush to ignore the virus and force feed the consequences of his actions.

Millions will die. Millions of Americans will die. Red states are in the hopper next. Watch.

And what did Trump and Kush-turd do when they learned about the coming C-19 pandemic
in November of 2019? They looked on how to make money on it by:

* Producing their own coronavirus test kit.

* Promoting and selling hydroxychloorine C-19 "cure all."

* Sending/selling 18 tons of PPE to China in Feb. of 2020. And that PPE gear could have saved the
lives and health of thousands of Drs., nursers, 1st responders, and patients but Trump owes China
>200 million $s.
