had the claim been made for any other year that Biden had attended this event. 6 apparent witnesses to support that claim. What could Biden have done to prove his innocence in that case? Not being there is possibly the only way that Biden could have refuted that claim. That's some incredible luck but it also shows that corroborating witnesses can mean absolutely nothing. First, it's possible that they were only told a lie, secondly, they can be liars themselves. These smears are so damaging for real victims.

Its obvious GOP strategists have realized that we can be our worst enemies. Using our own weakness against us. They know that there will always be a vocal minority on the left that are just as impervious to due diligence as the fringes of the right. We really thought this time we could start the process at least to move to a form of M4A like almost every other damn country on the planet has. Anyways. Too many powers working against progressives. But don't tell some that.

Make no mistake, it is very difficult for progressives right now. But we just do not have a choice now. If Sarandon wanted the wake up call, we now have it. I don't think we'd have a country left to bicker the fine points of D party direction on DU in 4 years if Trump remained. In the law, a "corroborating witness" is defined as "a witness whose testimony supports or confirms testimony that is already given." It's not just someone to whom the story was repeated after the fact by the alleged victim.
