(35,357 posts)In the blue states, the people pay for and receive services from their state government. In the red states, the people allow their state government and their employers to use and abuse them at will. They allow themselves to be exploited.

It's also kind of disgusting how he rationalizes that Florida should get funds but blue states not.
How about states like NY, Illinois and CA don't receive relief funds but keep the surplus of money that they usually send to the federal government to deal with this crisis? I think the receiver states won't like that.

(12,364 posts)States run by Democrats tend to be wealthier and their taxes are what keeps the federal government running so maybe if DeSantis really wanted to give his state an advantage he could convince people not to elect him. Yeah, I know, he does seem to be trying to do that.
