He now habitually refers to the corona virus as "the plague," even when talking about it, not just i

writing. He said in response to a question that we just had to get rid of the plague--as if it were just a matter of saying so.

Notice, too, that he has a specific, dedicated hand gesture to indicate getting rid of the virus, or even its miraculous disappearance in the warm weather. His right hand moves as though he is quickly tracing a bell curve with it. He uses this gesture frequently now as he insists that the virus will just go away or that we will eradicate it.

With this kind of rhetoric they will vote for him even if close loved-ones die of the virus.

wiped out something like 50 million people in Europe in the 14th century. Is that the comparison he's looking for?

and so he now draws it in the air. They knew he wouldn't read words about it, so concentrated on simple pictures.

He has justified spending money on the wall because walls are a medieval technology, and medieval technologies simply work.

He's surely regretting pushing the modern pharmaceutical hydroxychloroquine. This explains his lukewarm support for remdesivir. So he may be refocusing on leeches for his next recommendation.

I also think he is afraid he cannot consistently pronounce COVID19 or corona virus so he calls it something easier to remember.
