Traveling doctors, divisiveness and an atomized society

The paid trolls are on the internet teaching people to hate, every hour of the day.
In earlier years, the goal was to push the public in a particular direction with “paid spokesman”. Most companies have people on payroll to influence social media, whether overly or covertly.

When the Russians were organizing protesters on both sides of an issue in Houston in 2016, the goal was different. The division itself was the goal. Get people riled up and organized and fighting in opposite directions, to create fractures and weaken the society.

Divide people up and they’re more willing to do bad things.

So, there was a time when the government was actively encouraging home ownership through FHA loans and tax breaks, to help build stable communities. Much of that has been destroyed or cut in recent years. (Maybe handy to know where everyone was, now they have cell phones records.)

Which brings me to traveling doctors and traveling nurses. Seems kind of a good thing to be not tied down so much, if you’re a doctor. But they have no benefits — no 401K, no provided health plan, ironically. I was a little shocked to hear a traveling nurse mentioning her fear of getting sick. But doctors and nurses who can be transferred or released upon demand? How handy, for a government that wants to hide the truth, or create abusive situations, or simply reinforce that none of the little people matter all that much.

The guards that rotate from one ICE facility to another — if they see too much, move them. If they know they are disposable, they don’t develop a conscience, and if they do,l release them. The psychiatrists that see the children in those facilities? No long-running bonding, no stable relationships.

An atomized society can be controlled.
