President Trump claimed in an interview with the New York Post that that the “one thing” that the coronavirus pandemic “has taught us is that I was right.”

Said Trump: “You know, I had people say, ‘No, no, it’s good. You keep — you do this and that.’ Now those people are really agreeing with me. And that includes medicine and other things, you know.”

He added: “We did the right thing and now we’re bringing the country back. And I think there’s a great optimism. I don’t know if you see it, but I think there’s a great optimism now.”

...The salesman comes to your house once and perhaps you buy the stuff. But the stuff doesn't work. He comes a 2nd time, refunds your money and you buy a different kind of stuff.. Ok, the salesman is good and refunds and you try again.
...But after the 1000th time that the salesman comes to your door, then the door is locked & the police have been watching out for the salesman and he is arrested. Trump will not be reelected. He will lose and lose big. Because Trump believes himself, he is somewhat unaware of how bad the lies make him look. He will lose and he will lose by millions of votes. Disband the taskforce. Prevent reporting of infections and deaths, then sweep the whole thing under the carpet. "It's over, we beat it".

Except it's not over; we're doing OK here in Oz but there are small clusters emerging, some in meat packing plants. We were in a far better position than the US but anyone with half a brain knows it's too early to celebrate "opening up".

trump derangement for sure. She also thinks the reaction to this pandemic is a joke; I asked her what she thought of the 70K dead people. The lord will provide amen.

Sorry to read you're getting more but I don't think any country can avoid it totally. We all have to take care of ourselves the best we know how; we are isolating/washing/masking when we go out. I do not see an end to any of that in the forseeable future. Our new grim reality, with no choices for thinking people.
