Wild elk destroy 'Danger: Wild Elk' sign at Redwoods National Park

https://www.sfgate.com/outdoors/article/Wild-elk-destroy-Danger-Wild-Elk-sign-15248561.php

Two wild elk, blatantly disregarding social distancing, locked antlers at Redwood National Park in a halfhearted duel that was caught on video.

The only casualty was a “Danger: Wild Elk” sign that the bulls kept drunkenly stumbling into. The post wobbled with every body slam, the sign clanked every antler jab.

Despite the collateral damage, the battle itself was a dud.

At this time of the year, Roosevelt elk males — which can weigh up to 1,000 pounds each — rarely engage in a full-blown fight. That’s reserved for the fall rut when they attempt to prove their dominance in front of the cows. Those showdowns are violent, dust-flying affairs that end quickly.

I was fortunate enough to be in Yellowstone one fall during mating season and saw dueling elk, as well as heard them bugling.

Macho exhibitionist behavior, pointless battles, no face mask and disregarding social distancing AND disrespect of government authority and property.

Just like tRump, they believe a mask would damage a bull elk's image.
