With travel restrictions continuing for the near future due to global health concerns, Holland America Line has decided to extend its pause of global cruise operations and cancel all Alaska, Europe and Canada/New England cruises for 2020.
In addition, Amsterdam will not operate the 79-day Grand Africa Voyage from Boston, Massachusetts, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that was scheduled to depart on Oct. 3, 2020. Holland America Line had previously cancelled all 2020 Land+Sea Journeys, which combine an Alaska cruise with an overland tour to Denali and the Yukon.

(9,110 posts)A lot of these North American cruises operate out of US ports of embarcation, and our country is a COVID virus playground right now and is likely to remain so as long as Individual One and his prayerful sidekick are in charge of things.

(9,110 posts)I arrived in the Crescent City AFTER Mardi Gras. I still seem to be alive and healthy over two months later.
I do want to cruise again, but I'm going to wait until after Agent Orange and his prayerful side-kick are out of office.

One thing I can promise you: I won't storm Holland-America's offices (they're headquartered in Seattle) with guns, and scream and cry and spray spit all over the place because of it. That's just how we liberals roll.
